Ms. Gounihiri Baloch holds a masters degree in Political Science from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. She also has an eighteen months diploma on Family Welfare Work from Population Welfare department Larkana. During her career as a health professional, she has attended various training workshops and refresher courses on Family Planning (FP) and Reproductive Health (RH).
Currently employed as Incharge Mobile Health Service Unit Taluka Thari Mirwah in District Khairpur, Ms Baloch sensitizes and motivates local women for Family Planning (FP), and also provides them information on reproductive health and related issues. She translated a book on Women Rights from Urdu to Sindhi. She is the president of Shah Latif Welfare Association Taluka Thari Mirwah.

Ms. Bilquees Bardi Balouch earned her masters degree in Business Administration from Institute of Business Administration, Sukkur. She works as the Project Officer in USAIDs project The Pakistans Initiative for Mothers and Newborns (PAIMAN). With PAIMAN, Ms. Balouch is working to reduce maternal, newborn, and child mortality in Pakistan, through viable and demonstrable initiatives and capacity-building of existing programs and structures within health systems and communities, to ensure improvements and strengthen links in the continuum of health care for women from the home to the hospital.
Prior to joining PAIMAN, she was associated with Sindh Education Foundation (SEF), Govt of Sindh as a Survey Officer. At SEF, Ms. Balouch supported the organization in the implementation of the project titled Promoting Private Schools in Rural Sindh in District Khairpur.

Shahida Parveen Balouch is currently working as Computer Programmer in Department of Computer Science at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU). Ms. Baloch did her masters in International Relations and Economics from SALU. Later, she earned a diploma in Computer Systems from Multan and IBA Karachi. She has also attended various workshops and training sessions organized by different NGO.
Ms. Baloch has also worked as women chair of SALU for women skill development. SALU also nominated her for Ministry of Women Developments project titled Women Political School as research analyst, where she facilitated trainings for Nazims, Naib Nazims and women councilors to educate and enable them for playing a responsible role in good governance.
She has worked with various organizations such as The Asia Foundation (TAF), Indus Resource Centre (IRC), and Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) as a Master Trainer.
Ms. Baloch writes articles, skits, and dramas for radio Pakistan Khairpur highlighting various socio-political and economy related issues. Her articles regularly appear in a local radio magazine Ahang.

Sahib Khan Bhand received a silver medal from Shah Abdul Latif University(SALU) Khairpur, for topping in masters in Journalism. He also holds a masters degree in Computer Sciences, and a professional diploma in Rural Development Communication from University of Sindh Jamshoro.
Presently, he is competently fulfilling his responsibilities as the District Information Officer (DIO), Khairpur, Government of Sindh, for more than two years. Prior to this, he has served as Computer Programmer at University of Sindh, Jamshoro before taking up the position of Cooperative Teacher at Department of Mass Communication, SALU Khairpur in September 2008. He actively participates in social welfare and community development through media advocacy and community awareness programs on local radio channels.

Ms. Bushra Bhangar holds a masters degree in Sociology and Social Work. Currently working in population welfare department as Field Technical Officer, she organizes free medical camps in the area to promote and introduce latest family planning methodologies. She is also responsible for looking after Family Welfare Centers to ensure quality services to the local people for reproductive health and family planning.
Along with her professional obligations, Ms. Bhangar is actively involved in community social welfare work. She is associated with Bhitai Welfare Association and Khairpur Rural Development Organization and facilitates both these organizations in organizing free medical camps and other community welfare programs.
Her articles on women rights and issues appear regularly in local Newspapers and magazines.

Safdar Bhatti is currently employed as Executive Officer Monitoring & Evaluation in Peoples Primary Healthcare Initiatives (PPHI) at Khairpur. With his extensive experience in the field of education, health and overall community development, Mr. Bhatti is working to strengthen the primary healthcare system in the District Khairpur through providing and ensuring quality services in providing preventive and curative health care.
Previously, Mr. Bhatti has worked with UNDP, LEAD Pakistan and Social Welfare Community Development Department, Government of Sindh, in various capacities to promote education, health and democracy.

Mr. Manzoor Bugti is the District Coordinator for Family Planning and Primary Healthcare Initiative in District Khairpur. As an experienced health professional, he is currently responsible for training of trainers in The Pakistan Initiative for Mothers and Newborns (PAIMAN). Before joining PAIMANs District Health Management Team, Mr. Bugti has worked for almost six years in RCH as Deputy District Officer.
Mr. Bugti holds MBBS from Bolan Medical College, Quetta. He has almost ten years experience of serving the health sector in District Khairpur in various capacities.

Farah Naz Chandio holds masters in microbiology from Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU). Currently, she is employed at Marie Stopes Society (MSS) as Manager and Incharge Client Services (ICS) for almost seven years. At MSS, she is competently fulfilling her responsibilities in effective provision of comprehensive reproductive health information and services that include mother & child health and family planning services; and referrals of complicated and specialized care cases.
Apart from her professional career, she is also actively involved in the local politics. She has served her people as a District Councilor for nine years. Presently, she is the General Secretary of Muslim Leagues (Functional) Women Wing, where all her efforts are directed towards political empowerment of the local women.

Dr. Zulfiqar Dharejo is a medical graduate from Sindh Medical College, Karachi. He also did masters in Economics from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. With a medical career spanning over 17 years in public health, he has served the locals in District Khairpur in various capacities.
Presently, he is working as the Medical Officer Rural Health Centre, Ranipur in District Khairpur. He has visited Iran and Turkey to study replicable primary health care systems of these countries.

Mr. Zulfiqar Gilal is the Deputy District Officer Community Development Social Welfare Department NARA. In this capacity, for the past seven years he is involved in motivating voluntary efforts and mobilization of human and material resources to supplement governments efforts in order to accelerate development process.
Previously, he has served as Post Master in Pakistan Post Office Department for almost thirteen years. He has also worked as Assistant Superintendent of Post Offices, where he audited and inspected post offices.
Mr. Gilal is a law graduate, with two masters degrees: one in Sociology and another in Commerce from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. During his career, he has taken various courses and trainings on social audit, evidence based planning, budget and accounts, and drought mitigation.

Ms. Fozia Hanif is currently working with Save the Children Us as Senior Officer Community Mobilization in a project titled PAIMAN. The project is being implemented in District Khairpur Mirs. She has over six years experience in community mobilization, capacity building and gender mainstreaming. She has a sound knowledge and understanding of the issues related to Family Planning, Reproductive Health, and mother and child health care.
Ms. Hanif believes that by facilitating education and access to safe, effective, affordable and acceptable methods of family planning, several issues regarding Reproductive Health (RH) and family planning can be curtailed and controlled. Presently, she is involved in establishing Community Advocacy Networks on RH at grass root level to achieve the desired goals.

Noor Hussain is a dynamic professional with several years of experience in the fields of research, education and training. From class room teaching to teachers training, Mr. Hussain has been involved in education sector at various levels. He has led different educational institutions and training programs. As a member of Pakistan Association of Research, he came across many opportunities learn and develop his practical research abilities through workshops and seminars. With a sound background in quality research, he has authored many research papers and publications. His articles appear regularly in different national and international journals and newspapers. He has trained and facilitated various workshops and seminars for capacity building of local government personnel, teachers and community members. Presently, he is employed at Indus Resource Centre as Manager Education and Literacy.

Mr. Khamisanis professional career spans over almost 17 years. He started his career as a Medical Officer at Civil Hospital Khairpur in Cardiology Department in 1993. Later, after completing his masters degree in Public Health, he joined Family Health Project as Program Director Khairpur. He has also worked as District TB Coordinator for four years in Health Department before moving on to join The Asia Foundation in 2003 where he worked as District Coordinator for GFATM fund for Tuberculosis.

Mr. Ikhtiar Hussain Khaskheli holds a Masters degree in Economics from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. During his career of over 25 years in development sector and community work, Mr. Khaskheli have managed and supervised a number of projects on environment, education and health in District Khairpur. Currently, he is heading a local NGO, Khairpur Rural Development Organization (KRDO) which has membership in 11 national and international NGO networks. He has delivered weekly lectures on Radio Pakistan Khairpur for knowledge and capacity building of the local NGO workers. His articles on different socio political issues regularly appear in various local and national newspapers and magazines.

Mr. Abdul Aziz Khuro did his masters in Economics from University of Sindh, Jamshoro. He works as Assistant Program Officer in Human Resource Department in Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO). During his six years in the development sector, Mr. Khuro has worked with several national and international organizations. Human Resource Development, Social Research, Social Mobilization and Management are his major areas of interest. He has memberships of several rights based organizations and activist groups such as: Green Peace, Gift for Life, Cab. net group and Educated Sindh Group.

Ali Murad Kulhoro is working as a Social Welfare Officer in Rehabilitation Center for Physically Handicapped Khairpur (RCPHK) for the past twenty four years. He facilitates disabled children aged 10-18 years people in rehabilitation through education and skill development. The children are provided training in various skills such as, chair knitting, electrical work, carpet making, and tailoring. They are later helped to get employment or be self employed.

Mr. Manzoor Hussain Larik is a Law graduate. He also holds a masters degree in Economics, and he is currently perusing L.L.M at Sindh University Jamshoro. He is an advocate at Sindh High Court. He presides and manages a local registered NGO Peoples Organization for Welfare & Awareness Khairpur which provides legal aid, legal awareness to the poor and marginalized people of the community. The organization has taken up various welfare projects and awareness building for the community development and provision of basic human rights to the people.

Mr. Abdul Waheed Mullah holds a masers degree in Public Administration. Currently employed as the District Manger, Ghotki with Sindh Rural Support Organization, Mr. Mullah is managing a World Bank Supported project titled Social Mobilization Project in District Ghotki Sindh. Previously he has worked as Field Research Officer in WWF Research Project Tackling poverty in Pakistans coastal communities through the sustainable coastal livelihood project in coastal areas of Sindh and Baluchistan.
So far, Mr. Mullah has been involved in various community uplift projects to improve the situation of education, health and environment in District Khairpur and Ghotki. He has worked with several national and international organizations such as World Bank, PPAF, USAID, Marvi Rural Development Organization and LEAD Pakistan.

Aumir Mangi has been working for the development and improvement of education in Khairpur for almost thirteen years now. His association with Naz High School Old Boys Welfare Trust (NOWA), Sindh Education Foundation and Indus Resource Centre provided him opportunities to contribute towards the development of his community through community mobilization, research, and training.
During his career in the development sector, he has played an instrumental role in developing community networks, mainstreaming issues of out of school girls and human rights in Khairpur. In 2005, Aumir Mangi visited Nepal and Bangladesh to study, review and asses initiative taken to improve education sector in these countries. Later the findings of the study visit were shared with World Education Boston USA. HE has worked with various reputable local NGOs as a consultant.
At present, he is working as the Regional Manger in ED-Links which is a USAID funded project aimed at improving the quality of education in five districts of Northern Sindh Pakistan.

Dr. Fazul Muhammad Memon is the Senior Medical Officer in Health Department, Govt. of Sindh. He is a nephrologist by profession with over 16 years of experience. He is also associated with renowned international and national health organizations such as: International Society of Nephrology, American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine, and Pakistan Society of Ultrasound. During his career, he has launched several health awareness campaigns and held many free medical camps to serve his community.
He is also the chairman of the NGOs Coordination Council Gambat District Khairpur Sindh, and Al-Khair Welfare Trust Gambat. These organizations have been contributing tremendously in the overall community development and welfare, especially in the areas of health, education, and environment. He has assisted many local and international NGOs, through community mobilization and media advocacy, in different projects promoting women and child rights, and prevention of drug abuse, AIDS/HIV, and Hepatitis in District Khairpur.

Iqbal Morejo is an MBA from Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. He has been a part of the local development sector for the past fourteen years now, serving his community in various capacities. For the past three years, he is associated with Sindh Development Foundation (SDF). As the chairman SDF, one of his major accomplishments includes Mother and Child Health Care Centre, Faiz Gunj, District Khairpur. Involving civil society in the development process, Mr. Morejo has established Faiz Gunj Action Forum and Mirwah Action Forum to highlight the basic issues of community.
He is also an active member of Khairpur Civil Society (KCS), Bhit Shah Declaration Coordination Council (BDCC) and NGOs Coordination Council Khairpur (NGOCC).

Agha Nadia did her Masters in Sociology from University of Sindh Jamshoro. She is currently employed as a lecturer of Sociology in Department of Sociology, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. Along with her teaching career, she is perusing her M. Phil in Women Empowerment from University of Sindh Jamshoro.
She was the focal person of Women Employment Facilitation Centre (WEFC) supported by ILO and Lead Pakistan. After the completion of the project, she is running the WECF voluntarily for almost eight months. She provides career counseling, and mentor young female students of Shah Abdul Latif University. Ms. Nadia is also actively involved in women empowerment and gender mainstreaming in District Khairpur.

Sanam Naz holds a masters degree in Sociology from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. She has done several diplomas in Midwifery, General Nursing, and Administration and Management. She is working at Sachal Sarmast Institute of Nursing Khairpur as a lecturer for the past two years now. She prepares and trains local midwives for USAID funded project Pakistan Initiative for Mothers and Newborns PAIMAN.
With her experience in Nursing and midwifery spanning over a decade, Ms. Naz is providing practical knowledge of: maternal and newborn health care; emergency obstetric and newborn care; and importance and use of clean delivery kits.

Her advanced concept in nursing microbiology, psychiatric nursing, and community work make her an outstanding health professional. Currently, she is teaching as a Nursing Instructor at School of Nursing in Khairpur. She is also working as the Clinical Supervisor at Civil Hospital Khairpur.
Ms. Naz has also worked with Sachal Sarmast College of Nursing Khairpur as a principal. Trained in healthcare safety administration, she aims to contribute to the improvement of socio economic development of the country.

Muhammad Illyas Sahto works in Peoples Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) as Officer Monitoring and Evaluation for District Khairpur. Under the program, he monitors and evaluates the projects progress in terms of efficient provision of Primary Healthcare and management of Healthcare facilities.
Previously, he has been associated with Canadian Institute for Energy Training (CIET) as District Coordinator Khairpur. He has also worked with National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) as District Program Manager.
Mr. Sahto holds double masters degrees: one in English Literature and another in Sociology from Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur. During his educational career, he remained involved in local community support organizations in community development activities. Mr. Sahto, with the help of local NGOs opened Angels Academy of Education, a chain of schools, to provide quality education to the poor and marginalized of the community who otherwise do not have access to better educational facilitates.

Dr. Aijaz Ali Samo is a renowned health professional in District Khairpur. He is associated with the field of medicine for the past 17 years. He is also a well-known writer. So far, his three collections of short stories have been published. He has written over 20 Radio dramas, 10 TV serials and short plays. He has directed various stage plays, and also acted in most of them. He is a regular writer of articles on socio-political and economic issues. He has won several national awards for writing dramas and short stories.

Rubina works as a Clinical Instructor in Government School of Nursing, Civil Hospital, Khairpur. Prior to this, she has served Civil Hospital Khairpur as Staff Nurse for eight years. She has also worked as Nursing Instructor in Sachal Sarmast School of Nursing, Khairpur.
Apart from her nursing career, Rubina has been involved in several community trainings as Resource Person; sensitizing and informing rural women about health related issues in general and reproductive health in particular. Rubina has done BSc in Nursing from Jamshoro College of Nursing. Later, she attended various diploma courses on Ward Administration and Management and Nursing and Midwifery from Government School of Nursing.

Atta Hussain Solangi holds a masters degree in Sociology from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. A present, he is associated with Marvi Rural Development Organization (MRDO) as District Coordinator for UNDPs project titled Reducing Violence against Women. Previously, he has worked with Zaraee Dost Development Foundation, and Indus Resource Centre (IRC).
During his career, he has been involved in various research projects on socio-economic issues related to education, poverty reduction, Health and sanitation. His articles on these issues appear regularly in local newspapers and magazines.

One of his major ambitions include empowerment and involvement of the poor and marginalized in decision making and policy development through promoting education and awareness.
Previously, he has been associated with various organizations for promoting change to improve the ever declining health and education indicators in District Khairpur. During his association with Education Sector Reform Assistance (ESRA), he trained and designed modules for several education professionals to promote adult literacy.
Mr. Samoo is a law graduate. Recently, based on his academic and professional excellence, he was chosen for Youth Leadership and Development by Earth Charter Global Learning Opportunity (e-GLO).

Chairman Sabheeta Development Foundation, Mr. Manzoor Hussain Ujjan is involved in various activities remedying education and health related issues in District Khairpur. He has facilitated several free medical camps in Khairpur to increase poor peoples access to quality health facilities. He is the founder of Tajal Bewas Library, and Sabheeta English Model School.
Apart from his social and welfare services, he is the elected president of Sindh Graduates Association Kumb. He is also involved in literary activities, and serves as the spokesperson of Sindhi Adabi Sangat.
