The
project strategy is to demonstrate efficient
enhancement of the local intellectual capital
and capacity to improve RH status in District
Khairpur. The strategy builds on initial effort
during LRH-I, as well as collation of community
voices in the Citizens' Report. Stemming
from the conceptual framework of developing social
capital above and principles such as engagement,
participation and accountability, the project
strategy will therefore comprise:
Community sensitization and mobilization – while
reaching out to all community members, especially
the disadvantaged, the project will identify
and work closely with the most vulnerable sections.
For RH, this is primarily teenage girls who are
not enrolled in schools;
Local and
community leadership development;
Policy
engagement, focusing on strategic direction,
district health budgeting, and synergies between
population and health departments;
Development
of partnerships and networks of multi-sectoral
stakeholders nation-wide, for the improvement
of RH in Khairpur;
Documenting and
disseminating a local model for RH |
